ICRA’s aims are to:

• to protect free speech on the internet

Why and how do we support ICRA?

We believe in the free speech on the internet. However we also do believe that tools to prevent children from accessing potentially harmful material are necessary. We have kids too and we know it’s not possible to supervise your children all the time while they’re on the computer. To help protect them, we have labelled all our content on the Creampie website with ICRA.

What is ICRA?

ICRA is an international, non-profit organisation set up to provide a means of protecting children using the internet from unsuitable material. ICRA uses a labelling mechanism, which allows content providers to describe the content of their website by filling a small questionaire.

Users, especially parents of young children, can then use filtering software to allow or disallow access to web sites based on the information declared in the label. In addition, those adults who do not like to be exposed to violent, pornographic or drug related etc. sites can also use the system to filter out content they do not wish to access.
